The Women's Rugged Orange Nike Air Max 1 builds upon an upper base of white twill that we also see on the tongue. Smooth off-white leather forms the overlay at the vamp, while off-white textured leather forms the heel overlay and the overlay that extends across the side panel to the eyestays. Leather in the same texture also forms the rugged orange side panel Nike Swoosh that matches the smooth nubuck mud guard. The sail foam midsole offers cushioning and energy return as it encapsulates a visible unit of air, and the rubber outsole with its modified waffle traction pattern sports rugged orange rubber at the toe and heel and white rubber under the forefoot.
